Collaboratorium Copenhagen Challenge Preliminary Round Winners Announced

 The preliminary round winners of the Collaboratorium Copenhagen Challenge were announced today. The winners are:

 

  1. IEA 450 ppm scenario (42% of votes), created by International Energy Agency (entered by Rob Laubacher)
  2. 350 ppm or bust (27% of votes), created by Jason Jay, PhD student, MIT Sloan School of Management
  3. Drew Jones TEDx plan (12% of votes), created by Drew Jones, Climate Interactive

At the same time, two changes in the contest rules were announced:

  1. The deadline for voting in the final round will be extended to December 3, 2009.
  2. Votes will not be reset after the preliminary round.  In this way, votes cast in the preliminary round will still count in the final round (unless the people who cast the votes change them.)
