Massimo Tavoni is senior researcher at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) and the Euro-Mediterranean Center for Climate Change (CMCC). His research is on energy and climate change economics, specifically the modeling and evaluation of international climate mitigation policies, an area in which he has published extensively. He is also a lead author for the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Massimo holds a Laurea cum Laude in Engineering from the University of Bologna, an MSc in Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics, and a PhD in Political Economics from the Catholic University of Milan. He is co-author, together with a group of researchers at Princeton University, of Sharing Global CO2 Emissions Reductions Among One Billion High Emitters (PNAS, July 2009; http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2009/07/02/0905232106.abstract), included in Time magazine's list of The 50 Best Inventions of 2009.
